United Way Engineering E-mail Bingo - Rules

United Way E-mail Bingo

  1. Bingo cards can be purchased from the staff of the Dean of Engineering Office or the staff of the Engineering U/G Office.
  2. The cost is $2.00 per card and $5.00 for three cards. Cards can be continually purchased throughout the term of the game.
  3. When a card(s) is purchased, the purchaser must provide a valid e-mail address.
    Bingo will start on September 8, 2015 and will continue until a full card bingo is "called".
  4. 48 Bingo numbers will be "called" and e-mailed to card owners on the first day, then one number will be "called" once a day at approximately 10:00 a.m. during the month of September. Each player is responsible for checking these e-mails each day.
  5. When a card holder has a bingo (full card) they should inform Karen as soon as possible. (Karen Dubois 888-4567 x32447 or karen.dubois@uwaterloo.ca)
  6. Once a bingo has been "called" Karen will e-mail the group announcing that there has been a bingo. The rest of the group has until 10:00 a.m. the next day to check their cards and call a bingo.
  7. The winners must then present their cards to Karen for verification of a win. Numbers on cards must be legible.
  8. The money collected will be divided in a 60/40 split with 60% of the money collected on the sale of the bingo cards going to the United Way Campaign. The remaining 40% of the money will be shared by the winner or winners.
  9. Note that Karen will not be playing the game, and the numbers will be drawn by a person outside of the Dean of Engineering Office.
  10. Please remember that this is for fun and for charity.

 

Survivor Bingo

  1. Numbers between 1 and 75 are purchased at $2 each – a person can purchase as many numbers as they wish
  2. No more than one person can purchase any particular number.
  3. Once your number has been drawn, you are out of survivor bingo, but not out of the regular bingo. (Unless of course you purchased more than one Survivor number.)
  4. Once the regular bingo has finished, the survivor bingo numbers will be continued to be drawn until the last number has been called.
  5. Karen will then e-mail the group and notify the winner.
  6. The money collected will be divided in a 60/40 split with 60% of the money collected on the sale of the numbers going to the United Way Campaign. The remaining 40% of the money will be shared by the winner or winners.
  7. Note that Karen will not be playing the game, and the numbers will be drawn by a person outside of the Dean of Engineering Office.
